Pogo Mine in Delta Junction, Alaska is seeking applicants for our HVAV Technician. This position will work 14 days on/ 7 days off, or, 28 days on, with 14 days off. Essential Duties and Responsibilites:

Maintenance, troubleshooting & repair of industrial HVAC system equipment. Includes fuel oil heating systems and support equipment, large air handling systems, industrial boilers, small and large propane heating systems including burners and vaporizers, fume hoods, filters, compressors, dryers, pumps, heat exchangers, automatic control systems, pneumatic equipment, chillers, air & water cooled equipment, and refrigeration systems. Responsible for gathering technical information to perform the job and recommend improvements. Creates and completes work orders utilizing a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Must pass a post-offer physical, drug test, and background checks including ATFE.


EDUCATION:  High school diploma or GED required.  Universal CFC Refrigerant License.  Strong skills in maintaining propane heating systems preferred.


Universal CFC Refrigerant License. Valid driver's license is required. CETP certification preferred.

EXPERIENCE: 5 + years' experience with maintenance and repair of industrial HVAC equipment is required.

SKILLS:   Should have excellent critical thinking, troubleshooting and problem solving skills. Strong planning and organizational skills. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Experience utilizing a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) such as J.D Edwards is preferred.

ABILITIES: Ability to use hand and trade type tools. Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision. Ability to work in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities. Ability to assume increasing levels of responsibility. Proven ability to read, comprehend and apply information from technical manuals and other reference materials. Ability to work in a team with a high regard for Quality and Environmental concerns and with a strong commitment to Safety and Safe Production.

KNOWLEDGE: Must possess knowledge of technical data, systems and controls and be familiar with testing equipment.

Accommodations: Requires staying at the company provided camp during the work rotation. Camp facilities provide dining service, game room, exercise & weight room, sauna, and dorm room having phone, internet & cable tv.

Transportation: The company provides bus service to and from Fairbanks, Delta Junction or Tok.
